Portraits -R3
 
After learning about the proportions of the face, students used mirrors to draw self portraits. Students selected a front view or a profile and a color scheme.  Values were used to make the head appear as a form. (3-D). They could use realistic color or expressive color in a fauvism styleStudents came up with their own design for creative hair, hat, or other design to finish out the project. They used repetition to create unity in the piece. Prismacolors, sharpies, and collage pieces were all options for this project. Here are some of the results. Enjoy!
