Value and Texture

Value-the lightness or darkness of a color.
Implied Texture-how something appears to feel relating to the sense of touch. We created implied texture with various pencil strokes such as cross-hatching, stippling, circular, and vertical lines.

Sketchbook Activities:
Value scale, graded value, and shading a sphere with pencil.
